Kelley Moulton, Agency Owner, Co-founder

The decision to help bring Moulton & Sheally Insurance to the Lowcountry alongside business partner Bennie Sheally in 2018 was a natural fit for co-owner and South Carolina native, Kelley Moulton. Kelley is also the owner and President of Moulton Insurance Group, our inland sister agency headquartered in Charlotte, NC. Since opening her first of many offices in the nineties, Kelley’s focus has remained on creating a welcoming environment where access to sound advice and affordable coverage is made available to everyone. Her strong spirit and huge heart for protecting others combined with a natural knack for navigating numbers and product complexities led Kelley to the insurance field and continues to fuel her as the decades pass and markets evolve. Prior to taking the entrepreneurial path, Kelley earned her business degree from the beautiful College of Charleston where she also played for the women’s golf team. On a personal note, Kelley is big on family and has an undeniable soft spot for kittens, as evidenced by her revolving open-door policy for fosters in need of a temporary home! Outside of the agencies, Kelley enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, boating, playing golf, reading, and watching football. She also supports RAIN, a non-profit focused on helping the community live fully, with or without HIV, in addition to the hope and love Foundation whose mission is to love, serve, and inspire hope in others who are battling cancer.
Bennie Sheally, Agency Owner, Co-Founder
With strong ties to the Charleston area and many years of coastal agency ownership experience, Bennie and colleague Kelley Moulton opened Moulton & Sheally Insurance in 2018 to offer more choice and better serve the insurance needs of the Lowcountry. Bennie is also the owner and CEO of Sheally Insurance Group, our sister agency headquartered in Wilmington, NC. Known around the office for his contagious ambition, positive outlook, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of himself and others, Bennie has a remarkable talent for building meaningful relationships and winning teams. Prior to taking the entrepreneurial path, Bennie represented Prudential as a life insurance and financial planning advisor. He later joined Nationwide Securities as a financial wholesaler responsible for agency recruitment and financial services production throughout the North Carolina region. Bennie earned his finance degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Business where he also played for the men's soccer team. He maintains an active role on numerous insurance industry-related advisory boards and executive leadership committees. Bennie also serves as President of the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Futbol Club, a 501 c3 non-profit that strives to maximize resources and provide high-quality soccer services to the community. When he is not working, he enjoys being out on the water, spending time with his wife and three children, traveling, and anything else that sounds like fun! Bennie strives to live each day to the fullest and truly embraces a “work hard, play hard” mentality.
Tom Parratt, Chief Operating Officer
Tom joined Sheally Insurance Group in 2017 and spearheaded our expansion in the South Carolina region with the forming of Moulton & Sheally Insurance in August of 2018. Well known for his keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer focused approach to achieving operational excellence, Tom leads our team’s charge to deliver exceptional service and product selection to best accommodate the insurance needs of the Lowcountry community. Tom enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them navigate the sometimes confusing but essential world of insurance. He also knows a thing or two about teamwork and achieving goals! Prior to beginning his career in the insurance field, Tom played professional soccer for fifteen years and has plenty of coaching experience, too. Tom is an essential member of our leadership team and his contributions to our story and shared success are apparent not only in our South Carolina offices, but across our entire network of agencies as well. He is married with a young family that continues to keep him on his toes outside of the office! In his free time, he likes to stay active, listen to music, and hang with family and friends.
Miranda Parker, Chief Financial Officer
Miranda is responsible for overseeing the financial health of our organization in addition to agency accounting, filing, and reporting. She is our Head of Human Resources as well and is truly dedicated to supporting the career path and goals of each individual team member. Miranda is also the system administrator for countless core operational functionalities across our agencies. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Her business acumen has been an essential ingredient of our growth strategy and leadership team since inception. Who knows where we would be without her!? Even so, faith and family remain Miranda’s top priorities. She and her husband have four daughters and she cherishes the gift of being their mother. Miranda enjoys being with family above all and also volunteers with many church activities and youth programs in her “free time.”
Allison Sisson, Director of Marketing
Allison joined the team in 2019 with over 15 years of corporate marketing communication experience. Prior to diving into the insurance field and fabric of our agency, Allison launched her career in the financial services sector where her passion for brand management and in-house marketing first began. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing and advertising strategy for our dynamic family of brands, and leverages a diverse skill set to further support our growth and development as we continue to expand and memorialize independence. Allison attended Appalachian State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Communication. Outside of the office, she's a wife and doting aunt who loves the ocean, all things home and garden, and family time!
Joann Grosskopf, Senior Sales Executive

Joann joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in 2018 as part of the Patrick Smith Agency acquisition. She has over twenty-five years of hands-on experience in the insurance industry and is licensed in Property and Casualty and Life. Joann’s goal is to make sure clients are protected and prepared for any unexpected occurrence and she goes to great lengths to deliver exceptional customer service. Away from the office, Joann enjoys drawing, painting, and crafting activities. She also loves spending free time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Karla Combs, Sales Executive

Karla joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in 2019 with nearly twenty years of prior agency experience. Her career in the insurance field is built on trust and lasting client relationships. She really enjoys helping families and individuals navigate the world of insurance with confidence. Karla is licensed in Property and Casualty, Life and Health, Long Term Care and Med Support. She is quite the socialite and community-oriented individual as well, having held prior volunteer positions with various organizations such as Past President of Lake Norman Rotary, Paul Harris Fellow, Community Service Chair of North Mecklenburg Rotary, and recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Rotarian of the Year award. Karla likes camping and canoeing adventures, spending time at the beach, and cheering on the Tarheels with her daughter who also happens to be her best friend!
Keta White, Senior Sales Executive
Keta joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in 2018 with fifteen years of prior agency experience as part of the A. Patch Insurance acquisition. She also had the pleasure of previously working with the Boy Scouts of America in Cleveland, Ohio which greatly influenced the development of her diverse skill set and business technique. Keta holds Property and Casualty, Surety, Marine, and Bonds licenses and assists with both personal lines and commercial insurance needs. She is a personable agent who enjoys interacting with her clients most! Keta approaches customer relationships from a place of mutual respect and strives to make everyone feel like family. We love her bright smile and sense of humor around the office! Keta is also a talented violinist who likes to play her favorite instrument and spend free time with “my blessings,” aka her four children.
Melissa Christopher, Senior Sales Executive

Melissa joined Moulton & Sheally in 2019 and started her career in the insurance field in 1994! She assists both personal and commercial lines clientele with the full spectrum of insurance solutions. Melissa is licensed in Property and Casualty, Life, Accident and Health, and Surplus Lines Broker. Melissa likes being a part of the M&S team and building relationships with her clients. Her calming demeanor and vast knowledge of the insurance world adds tremendous value to our agency every day. Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach, and reading.
Sawyer Umstead, Associate Sales Executive
Sawyer joined the Moulton & Sheally team in 2020. Prior to launching his career in the insurance field, Sawyer earned an economics degree from East Carolina University, interned as a financial planning analyst with Raymond James, and worked closely with healthcare nonprofits as a business development representative for Blackbaud, the global leader in cloud-based software. Sawyer holds a South Carolina Property and Casualty license and focusses on assisting personal lines clientele with the full spectrum of insurance needs in his current role within the agency. When he’s not hard at work, Sawyer likes to fish and just about any other reason to get out on the water! He’s also a big-time BBQ enthusiast and enjoys golfing, camping, and reading in his spare time, too!
Griffin Self, CLCS, Associate Sales Executive

Griffin joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in September of 2019. He earned an Economics degree from East Carolina University and holds South Carolina Property and Casualty licenses. Griffin is also a certified Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist. In his current role within the agency, Griffin is focussed on assisting our commercial lines clientele with proper risk assessment, portfolio construction, and account servicing needs. Griffin is involved with Moulton & Sheally business development activities as well. We can always count on him to show up with a great attitude, ready to help with whatever the task may be. He is an absolute pleasure to have on our team! When not working, Griffin likes to go offshore fishing and spend time with friends and family. He also enjoys watching and playing sports, too!
Alyson Stromberg, Commercial Account Manager
Alyson joined the Moulton & Sheally team in December of 2019 with six years of prior agency experience. She is licensed in Property and Casualty lines in South Carolina. Ms. Stromberg is also Hartford School of Insurance Commercial Lines School trained. Her repertoire of credentials goes on to include Active Duty in the Airforce, a Bachelor of Science Communication degree concentrated in Sales and Marketing from the University of Phoenix, and a Human Resources Certificate from the University of Phoenix as well. Alyson supports our commercial lines clientele in her current role with the agency and enjoys getting to know people through their business; and what makes that business so important to them. Alyson is also a mother and wife. Outside of the office she enjoys exploring Charleston, trying new restaurants, and spending free time with family!
Angela Little, Account Manager

Angela joined the Moulton & Sheally team in August of 2018 as a part of the Patrick Smith Agency merger. She started her career in the insurance field in 2012. Angela is licensed in both Property and Casualty and is focused on developing lasting bonds based on trust with clients. She is committed to keeping their best interests at heart and is pleased to offer a broad spectrum of quality products in order to meet each individual's direct insurance needs. In her spare time, Angela is a volunteer coach for a competitive cheerleading team! She also loves spending time with family and cheering from the sidelines at her daughter's softball games.
Christie McInnis, Account Manager
Christie joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in November of 2018 as part of the A Patch Insurance agency acquisition. Prior to starting her career in the insurance field, Christie attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore where she studied English. She also has an accounting background which further shaped her skillset as a detail oriented and knowledgeable agent. In her free time, Christie likes to travel, head to the local gym with her husband to practice Muay Thai, and watch their gym mates Thai box competitively throughout the year.
Christy Galloway, Account Manager

Christy joined Moulton & Sheally in April of 2019 and is licensed in Property and Casualty lines in South Carolina. Prior to beginning her career in insurance, Christy was a retail business owner and middle school teacher where she taught the very important life skill of financial literacy. Her favorite part of working in the insurance field is being able to meet and work with new people on a daily basis. Christy likes to learn about her client's lives which also allows her the proper context to protect the people and items they value most. Christy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. She is the proud mother of three daughters as well. In her free time, she likes to run, cook, travel, and spend time with friends and family!
Vickie Matcoich, Operations Associate

Vickie joined Moulton & Sheally Insurance in August of 2018 as part of the Patrick Smith Agency acquisition—bringing along with her nearly fifteen years of prior agency experience and history. Ms. Vickie is the familiar welcoming voice and long-standing local presence in our Mount Pleasant office location. Her contributions are instrumental in helping our agency respond to a wide range of client needs in an organized, timely fashion. She is always willing to assist and makes creating great service experiences for our customers a top priority each day. In her free time, Vickie likes to garden, go boating, head to the beach, and spend as much time as possible with her husband, two children, grandchildren, and their extended family!
